Hi Deepesh,
Thank you for the excellent installation instructions, I wish all such documentation was as easy to follow as yours!
I have followed the instructions faithfully (I believe). The install completed successfully, including JDK 1.5.0.22.
I have rechecked the locations of the various components mentioned in the instructions and completed the Regedit step.
In Solution Explorer I can access data (e.g.UDC's) but when I start E1 HTML the menus are fine, the executables open correctly, but there is no data displayed if, for instance, I click the Find button or try to use one of the visual assists. It appears that the link to the demo data is not working in HTML.
Have I missed something? Would much appreciate your help.
Best Regards

The easiest solution is <a href="http://www.everestsoftint.com/index.asp?a=browse&p=Boomerang" rel="nofollow">Boomerang</a> by Everest Software.

Without that tool, you could look at creating datasources, pathcodes, OCMs & OMW Rules that would move object code from instance-1-pathcode to instance-2-pathcode.

Without more information, the money spent on 2 Site Limited licenses (one for each instance) could be well worth it.

Please let me know what you decide to do.

Mike, unfortunately, I haven't been able to get this to work for E900 either. If you come up with anything, please let me know.

This is pretty similar to what I was doing with E810.

However, we just moved to E900, and changed from MSDE to OEE, and I'm having trouble finding the correct way to install OEE via command line. Do you have any advice or any way that I can install it that is automated?

Hey, Garth! Glad this helped. There are always many moving parts when trying to get different technologies to talk to one another, but when Microsoft has to talk to IBM it seems like there are more than usual.

Thanks for the visiting the site!

Thank you! Since moving to Windows 7, mapping drives to iSeries shares, not just IFS, has been iffy at best. Sometimes I would have success, sometimes I would just get prompted for credentials again, and sometimes I would receive authority errors.

In some cases, I could map as a super user but not as a regular user on one system but not another, even though the permissions were the same as far as I could tell.

Since trying this fix, so far these sporadic, inconsistent failures have ceased. That's what I get for looking for a solution on the iSeries when, of course, it is a Windows issue. Doh!

Fantastic, I have wanting something like this for ages. We have managed to change the banner/header but having a different background color will assist the end users immensely, they have access to Test for training purposes and on occasion I have had missing batches reported only to find they have forgotten to logout of the test environment after training!
Thanks for publishing this little gem.
