EnterpriseOne 9.0, Visual Studio C++ 2008 & Windows Server 2008 64bit
During our install of EnterpriseOne 9.0 with Tools Release 8.98.3.4 there have been a couple issues that we have run into that are not very obvious:
- Before running any install or update, Right-click and choose “Run As Administrator”. This is very important!
- When you install the Visual Studio C++ installer, install both C++ and C#. Especially, if you are using Visual Studio 2008 Standard Edition. For some reason, EnterpriseOne package builds do not compile unless both C++ and C# are installed. This is a Microsoft issue documented in Oracle Doc ID 1129753.1
